Sights
Thailand is a land of great variety, from Chiang Mai in the North with its exquisite cuisine to the world famous beaches in the south with scuba diving opportunities and friendly vibe. There are plenty of opportunities for the UK traveller to see new things and generally relax.
Food
Thai curries are what you'll want to sample - red being the hottest, then green. These are usually prepared well and you can get delicious curries at low prices, served with sticky rice. In the more touristy areas you will be able to buy a wide selection of fruit shakes - fruit blended with ice and milk - which are very refreshing.
Climate
Thailand is usually hot without any harsh winter but British summertime is Thai monsoon season and the islands in particular can suffer storms and overcast weather.
