Dalaman town is a traditional Turkish town in the East of the country, most tourists however mainly pass through Dalaman on the way to one of the Seaside resorts surrounding the airport to enjoy a sun filled adventure.
Things to do and see:
- Cruise - Take the midnight cruise and sail the evening away enjoying the sights around the bays of Marmaris and Icmeler. The cruises have a DJ and excellent chef on board and are a great way to enjoy Turkey.
- Turkish Baths - Whilst in this region of Turkey, take the time to indulge in one of Turkey’s most traditional experiences of the Turkish Bath. The bath is arguably one of the best ways to start a holiday for those seeking the perfect tan.
Traditional - Take the opportunity, when staying the Dalaman region to visit a traditional Turkish Taverna and enjoy dancing and local cuisine.
- Nightlife – Head to Bar Street in Marmaris to see some of the Turkish night life. The street is packed with restaurants, clubs, bars and late night cafes and caters for most tastes. It is a great way to spend an exciting night.
Getting there: Dalaman International Airport is located in the town of Dalaman, it offers great transport links to many popular destinations including Marmaris and Icmeler.
Location and weather: Dalaman has great weather and is hot most of the year, most tourists visit in July and August but there is much sunshine from May through to late September.
Top tip: Take a trip to Rhodes for the day, it is easily accessible from the region of Dalaman.
