Cheap flights to Verona

Verona is a city inspired by romance and emotion with a distinctly historical feel. The way of life here is not rushed, making it the perfect city for slow walks around its ancient streets.

Things to see and do:
-Arena-Seating 20,000 people, Verona’s amphitheatre is one of the most popular sights in the city. Opera is the most common choice of show to be found here, though tickets sell quickly, so book in advance to save disappointment.
-Piazzas-Verona is full of squares longing to be discovered, in particular the ‘Piazza delle Erbe’. A colourful, buzzing market can often be found here, making it ideal to experience the busier side of life in Verona.
-Pizza-One of Italy’s most famous dishes and certainly popular in Verona, pizza can be found almost anywhere in the city. Cooked while you wait from fresh ingredients, these pizzas taste like no other!

Getting there: Verona’s ‘Catullo’ airport is used most frequently by international travellers. A convenient shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes to the city centre which is 10km away.

Location and weather: Set in the northern part of Italy, Verona’s climate is predominantly mild, though with much of the country, July and August can be uncomfortably hot with temperatures nearing 30 degrees Celsius.

Top tip: On Mondays, many of the main attractions are closed, so if you don’t want to miss out, organise your trip around this.
