Cheap flights to Sardinia

An island set in the Mediterranean with 1849km of coastline, Sardinia has gradually become a popular seaside destination for both international travellers and Italians alike. The mild climate, beautiful location and intriguing history of the island are just some of the attractions that make Sardinia an ideal place to visit.

Things to see and do:
-Cagliari-This is the largest city on the island and stands as the capital of Sardinia. Rich in history, it offers much in the way of churches, museums and architecture, all of which are made all the more pleasant by the consistently mild climate.
-Beaches-A swim in the sea off one of the many bays on the island comes as a treat to any visitor to Sardinia. The beautiful water is surrounded by delicate sands and looming cliffs, making it a picturesque day out.
-Wine-Sardinia is famous for its interest in wine, thus an evening spent in a local bar sampling the goods on offer is an ideal way to experience the drink. The markets tend to sell a lot of wine at reasonably cheap prices as well.

Getting there: The island has three airports in Cagliari, Alghero and Olbia, all of which are served by international flights.

Location and weather: Sardinia is an island in the Western Mediterranean, just 12km from Corsica. Sunshine dominates the island for a large percentage of the year, though late autumn and winter can bring some rain.

Top tip: Take advantage of the boat rides available at various points across the beaches in order to see the island in all its glory.
