Cheap flights to Milan

Milan is a city with a definite presence of entertainment and fun at its centre. With a strong focus on shopping, it rivals Paris at one of the World’s most fashionable cities. For an experience filled with sophistication and class, this city set in the north of Italy will not fail.

Things to see and do:
-Shopping-Not only does Milan boast the latest designs in fashion, but for those keen on finding a bargain, there are many places around the city to pick up half price goods. The ‘Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II’ provides both an amazing shopping experience and the opportunity to marvel at the architecture of the beautiful building.
-Cathedral-Overlooking the ‘Piazza del Duomo’, this building is the World’s largest Gothic Cathedral. It’s beautiful stained-glass windows draw in streams of tourists every year, making it an attraction not to be missed.
-Eating out-As with many parts of Italy, Milan places a strong emphasis on food and is a city proud of its cuisine. A great selection of restaurants to suit all budgets means that everyone is able to experience the dishes that characterise this city.

Getting there: Malpensa Airport, about 50km north-west of Milan, is served by most flights. Taxis into the city are quite expensive however, so it is better to use the cheaper option of public transport. There is a regular train service into the city as well as a shuttle coach service.

Location and weather: A Mediterranean climate means that the weather in Milan is generally quite mild. Winters tend to be cooler and summers hotter, especially July and August when temperatures soar to heights of thirty degrees Celsius.

Top tip: If the theatre is a main point of interest for you, the best time of year to visit is October when the main entertainment season begins.
